Elon Musk’s X Launches New Version of Audio & Video Call Features

X (earlier Twitter) is working on introducing new features such as audio and video calls available to the public. Know more about these features and how to use them.  

As per media reports on the 26th of October, X (formerly acknowledged as Twitter) is working on the launch of X audio & video calls new features. Elon Musk, the owner and technology chief, is determined to make X, the leading social media platform, an app for everything. He has disclosed the instructions on how users can use this new feature on X through a post, Early version of video and audio calling on X

The latest functionality is one of a series of changes and new features taking place on X. Elon Musk took ownership of this social media platform around a year ago. Just after changing the name, Twitter to X, Elon Musk stated that he was determined to make this app as a super app. As the complete transformation comes to an end, X will help users to carry out their every daily tasks, from social networking and calling to banking and finance.  

After testing the feature in August 2023, Musk said there would be no requirement of a phone number for using new features of audio & video calls on X. Users can use these features on Google’s Android, Apple’s iOS, and computers.    

In the early days of October, X officials said that they will test a completely new subscription model that will cost users around 1 Us dollar. They termed this model Not A Bot. As per this subscription model, users will have to pay X for reposts and likes of other accounts’ posts. Bookmarking on the web version of this social media platform will be chargeable.  

The main objective of bringing this subscription model to get rid of spammers. X officials have disclosed that the charge of this subscription model, Not A Bot, will vary from one country to another. The citizens of the Philippines and New Zealand will be the first to use this new model.  

According to X officials, there would be no effect on existing users during this test. New users can only read and view posts, follow accounts, and watch videos if they do not want to subscribe to this model.
